Awake and be thankful that instilled in you is strength and fight.
The struggle passed down from generation is in our veins
The struggle of our women, our culture, the oppression, and the pain
The struggle of the hurt we've heard our ancestors experience allowing them to have died in vain
history repeating itself again and again describes insane
women of our time demeaning themselves to get paid
putting money over their own worth to survive because they're afraid
working for the money is what makes us a slave
its used to control us and planted in our minds to be ashamed
if you aren't spending it on Louie, Gucci, Prada, or Vera Wang
that the only thing important to desire is fortune and fame
allowing to be disrespected and to be called out of your name
treated like your unintelligent and looked down upon for using your brain
that the "Power of the P" is the only means of exchange
and "do something strange for a lil' piece of change"
is all to common of a saying
and now getting on your knees is not only used for praying
and any dignity or self respect remaining is decaying
its time to rise up and stop playing scream it loud and proud and start parading
about the fact that we will no longer be degraded
and societies influence can no longer be persuading
Stop the madness with a sense of urgency
You are worth far more than any paper currency
because if I could describe the status we are in currently
It would be described as a state of emergency
the lack of respect we have for each other
is significant to the lives of my sisters and brothers
the family dynamic is crashing at a fast pace
and it puts our youth in a rough place
the child with a single parent is feeling misplaced
and repeating the patterns of the moral disgrace
so give up this pop culture societies ways
and our women and our youth are guarenteed to see better days
